History

People’s Action for Social Service (PASS) is a Non Government Voluntary Organisation registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 on 28.02.1990 with the Registration No. 83/90. The organization is also a registered under Foreign Contribution Registration Act bearing No. 010140109 and works with the base at Tirupati Town, Andhra Pradesh.

The organization was established by a group of educated, dedicated, social workers with a vision for a sustainable society having social, economical, health and educational empowered communities within its operational area. The organization is being governed by 9 Committee Members with General Secretary as the Chief Functionary. Since establishment the Organization had implemented several different projects and programmes covering the areas of Family Welfare, Health, Disability, Women and child development, Geriatric Care, Rural Development and Environment. These areas are being addressed by both institutional and non-institutional based projects.

As the magnitude of the problem of HIV/AIDS had increased PASS took the initiative in a big way in its working area for the prevention and spread of HIV/AIDS since 1999.
